Oh dear, do get you facts straight.
Britain held off the Nazis for two full years while you people dithered on the sidelines. Without Britian you might well have been speaking German.
As for the rest of it - if you want to go so far back you must see it all becomes America's history as much as Britain's!
As it happens, I agree with you - England made a real hash of 1066 and all that.

Argentina lays claims to the Falkland Islands. But she doesn't have international law on her side, I'm afraid.

Not so..
Argentina claims that the Malvinas are sovereign Argentinian territory and should be vacated by the British and turned back to the rightful party. How can you argue against that when Argentina is half a world away and just wants what it believes is justice! The same for Northern Ireland. Get the hell out!!

My point is.. who the hell are you, of all people, to lecture use on foreign policy. Yours has always been a disaster. It goes back to Harold's defeat at Hastings in 1066. Your leaders have been lechers like Henry VIII. You'd have lost World War II if the U.S. hadn't entered the war. You like to think that Churchill lured us in but we knew what we were doing, and you didn't! We saved your sorry British asses and you have absolutely no appreciation. You disgust me!!

Perhaps this defintion helps:
United Kingdom or United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland (Commonly called Great Britain or Britain.) (Abbr. UK)
A country of western Europe comprising England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland. Beginning with the kingdom of England, it was created by three acts of union: with Wales (1536), Scotland (1707), and Ireland (1800). At the height of its power in the 19th century it ruled an empire that spanned the globe. London is the capital and the largest city. Population: 59,600,000.
and
Northern Ireland is an administrative region and one of four constituent parts of the United Kingdom. It has a land border with the Republic of Ireland in the island of Ireland and is otherwise bounded by sea. It covers 14,139 square kilometres (5,459 square miles) in the north-east of the island, and has a population of 1,685,000 (April 2001). The capital is Belfast.

Who's law are we talking about?
Northern Ireland is British under British law. The IRA doesn't recognize that. They want it to be Irish, under Irish law. I am not condoning all the violence that they wrought over the years but their basic argument is correct. The British should get out! Now!

You've conceded the Malvinas issue. The Island belongs to Argentina and you unlawfully went to war with that nation which was attempting to protect its own territory. Do I read you correctly?

Why don't they call it Northern England then? Why is it called Northern Ireland..because it is Northern Ireland and should be part of the Irish Republic. You have no right there at all. You can't justify it!!

If it can be proved in law that the Falkland Islands are part of Argentina then, of course, the territory should be ceded to Argentina.

Northern Ireland is part of Ireland. It should be part of the Irish Republic and you Brits should get your asses out of there. If you'd have done the right thing years ago, there wouldn't have been an Irish Republican Army and no unrest! Don't preach to us!!

As long as you don't confuse the American government with the American
people.
Most Americans are entirely ignorant of what the US does in other countries or even in their own. But there are worse things in the wold than ignorance... and if every American was aware of the kinds of horrible things the government here gets away with, there'd be a lot of changes being made.
So do you hate the US governent? It's people? Or both?

I really like that one line...
".......pretended to be democratic, freedom-loving and secularist, while she used every undemocratic means, suppressed every freedom and inflamed religious fires to perpetuate her own and her party's rule and dominance........"
I pretty sure that was the mindset of many people who lived for years under British Imperialism and Dominion! Remember those days?

My mother taught me that the anger and hostility others hold against me are usually a direct result of their own insecurities; qualities they carry within themselves; dead horses they continue to beat but can never break.
I'm wondering, if you hold inside yourself, a bit of Americanism. Hmm...because you continue to beat the same dead horse.
