I miss all that
I was getting 2 free cruises a year in a stateroom, a trip to Disney, pretty much hotel/entrance fees for anywhere, even an invite from someone in the German tourism to have someone there tour with me. Then there were 2+ theatre tickets, 2+ dinner theatre tickets a month, more crazy stuff mailed in than I can tell you...and that's just from the newspapers. And part of my pay was a 1/4 page ad in 2 different papers to trade for whatever I wanted. When I did a column on Inventor's/Inventions I had all sorts of strange things coming in the mail. Sigh. Yep. I'm with you . I miss that.
