That is a very touching story. I feel more like the fox than the hummingbird. But it seems to be true that when things are good, people are less compassionate, but when things are tight, people pull together.

Great story UH!
I think there must be a story behind the story if you remember it so well from so long ago. It sounds like one of those folklore tales from some culture. Do you have any idea where the story originated?
