Remeber Tracy Ullman?

I think she's very talented but butt ugly.

Yup Limey, still stirring the pot
and I meant showing grace as an adverb or adjective . . . not as a proper noun.  I would not have thought to add Grace Kelly.  Beautiful woman, gracious appearing, but don't know much about her.

Grace who? Kelly? Now there's one I overlooked.

I agree with you about Barbara Streisand. Why that raucous woman ever became popular is beyond me.

Is french-kissing someone on national TV the sign of a good performer?

By the look of things, you're doing a fairly good job of pointing out Britain's imperfections. Far be it for me to interfere.

What an extraordinary thing to say! Of course it's possible to argue with someone's religious and political beliefs. It happpens all the time.

Good parliamentary debate frequently sees Labour MPs crossing the house to become Conservatives and Liberals changing sides to become Labourites.

I'm not much interested in an entertainer's problems. We all have those.
I simply find these two repugnant, as do many teople.

For he record, you'll find Jackie Kennedy was entwined with O'Nassis many years before they married.

Not with you!
The younger crop of faux actresses and celebrity wanna-bes is much more annoying than the list you've presented. I like Madonna's music (she french-kissed Britney Spears on National TV) and I admire Hanoi Jane's stones.

Tell ya what Limey --

you can keep Hillary, Madeleine, Madonna and Jane on the list. You can add to that list Barbra Streisand.  The rest should be given grace.

But then again. . . you don't seem to know a whole lot about grace, do you?  Unless it's your philosophy to show grace to all peoples except Americans.

Amen to RAME!

Well said.  However, I can guarantee Limey will come back with a statement such as "we're not talking about Britain.  This is about America and all its evil woes."  Been there, done that, attempted to point out the obvious but he isn't biting.

However, that said, I loved your comments!!

Limey, you told Twodog

this blog is for urging Americans to change their ways and change for the better.  Of course Americans aren't perfect and some are downright slimey, but I think it's time for you to look in your own back yard and clean it up before telling the Americans or any other country to do so.  Men who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.  Tell us, what is to be so proud of in any of Britain's famous icons?  Unless, that is, you think having big ears and buck teeth, royal family scandals (on a nearly constant basis) something to be proud of.  Physician, heal thyself!

Limey

Anyone political is going to evoke controversy.  So to argue with your opinions on most of your list would be like arguing about religion - you can't argue with someone's religious or political beliefs.

As for Madonna or Judy Garland.... they are/were both groundbreaking artists that had their own set of problems.  Human, but something to loathe?  I think not.

Jackie O??  You're kidding me right?  The woman was the model of courage and integrity.  Plus it was 5 years before she remarried.  At least have your facts straight.

What an extraordinarily illogical argument you put forward.

Millions of British people - and others across the worlld = loathe America and Americans for the reasons I've put forward over several months; that doesn't make them unpatriotic - on the contrary.

Again, the fact that you spent time with the SAS and a survivor of the Blitz has absolugtely no bearing on the matter.

This blog is all about urging America and Americans to mend their ways and change for the better.

That's it.

Amen.

I have the greatest respect for her
as a woman first... and a politician second. Is she perfect? No she is not. Who is? But she has the makings of greatness. She is a very strong woman... articulate... and has her own mind. Something we have not had in the White House - well that and a set of balls -  in a very long time.

Limey, Great Hook

You know something, I've had the honor to train and operate with some of the finest soldiers in the world, the British Special Air Service. I've spent a lot of time in England, specifically the towns around a couple air force bases that shall remain unamed, and in London. And, I had the distinct honor of spending about twelve hours on a seven forty-seven with a survivor of the London Blits.

You are a disgrace to all those good people because you use hate to generate interest. Just to be read, you demean the sacrifice so many, British and American, have made to guarntee your own continued existance. And, to all the folks that seem to enjoy your proliferation of hate, why do you hate your own country so much?
