laurieann,
Yup. Puppies are a challenge, that's for sure. My Lindsey has successfully pulled all of the stuffing out of one of the couch pillows. She will continue to do so (even right in front of us) until I finally sew it back up.

OBP,
Yes, she is consuming the house. However, she is now placed into her crate when we're at work. Oh, and yeah, Stan the Man. God I miss him.

guilty!
I have a very well behaved great dane, but he wasn't born that way!  I never hear him chewing anything, but days later I will notice things like the leg of my new dining room chair has been chewed down to a toothpick.  He goes through his "phases"- when he is mad at me he will act out- his latest trick is to pull all of the cushions off of my deck chairs.  Pets are like children; they give us unconditional love, and we give it back.  Even when they just got done chewing up those brand new running shoes...

Quirky,
It must have something to do with the fact that you have cats and not dogs. Or, you must just have better vision!!

I never do that...but it was still funny!

OBP,
Well, Mommy just brought home a crate for Lindsey cause she's decided to consume the house while we're at work.

We can't even get the cats to eat canned cat food - and that's plenty stinky. And the cats won't eat dry food that's been sitting out for more than a day, and they both drink only fresh, very cold water.....lol!

Mia,
That's funny, cause cats actually have more of a thing for bad smelling stuff. Cat food is actually made a bit more pleasant for the human's sake. If cats had it their way, they'd be eating rotting flesh.

Symph,
K, I remember now. I hate that licking noise, too!! Especially in the middle of the night and then there's a big wet lick spot on the bed.

Symph,
I just totally forgot what I was gonna say cause M just told me something so friggin funny. I couldn't stop laughing. It seems our niece (4 years old) had diarrhea and was running to the bathroom but didn't make it. Eeew.

My dog has a thing for Q-tips...lol....and anything that smells bad, but our cats love potpouriri, fresh flowers, plants, soap bars, etc. Odd animals I have.

JJ,
I always give them big smoochies. Can't help it. They're too cute. The thing that's hard is when they are doing something bad and I have to put my foot down but keep a straight face and not laugh. Sometimes it's really hard not to. Lindsey makes the cutest noises sometimes. I have a few times that I recorded her on my voice recorder. I think I may try to post it sometime so you guys can hear it.

Spiffie,

It's all in the percentages.  What percentage of the time that you fly off the handle are you wrong?  When you begin to approach the percentage point that makes you feel guilty, back off a little.

Actually, when you fly off the handle needlessly they give you that special ''what?'' look, you feel bad, then they get a bunch of special attention.  You shouldn't feel guilty because they love it.  Keep an eye on them, give them a yell once in a while, and give them big smoochies when you're wrong.  It's a perfect relationship.  JJ

Better safe than sorry I say.
I once caught my dog chewing on the wall! That took a little spackle to fix. Gotta watch em.

I don't feel too bad because I know it's only a matter of time before he's munching on a used panty liner or something!
