If NASA Predicted The End Of The World...
would you believe them? Would you live your life differently? I asked this question to my friends and family a few years ago. Their responses gave me great insight to their true personalities. Great way to get philosophical after a few lubricating drinks or bones (for those of us who need something more than mere alcohol.)

I totally agree, ritchie. I remember sitting in class my junior or senior
year of high school when the exact time for a planetary alignment occurred, predicted by some Christian nutcases and a few cults as the exact moment the world would end. Everybody knew about it -- we were in Bible Belt hell, uh, heaven. I remember the teacher looking at the clock on the wall and saying, "Well, if our clock's right, guess we'll have to wait for some other time for the world to end." And I read the other day how a kilometre-wide asteroid will pass within sight of the Earth in 2029, the closest any such foreign body (that they've spied so far) will pass in the near future, ruling out going the way of the dinosaurs.
But listening to all these doomsayers and Christian end-timers is rather interesting, don't you think? I mean, how pathetic and dull one's life must be to constantly be on the lookout for the end of things, searching for a better hereafter. How about making a better and happier now?
