I don't want to know because it would just be an extra stressor.

Besides, I would do the same things to take care of myself either way....I just don't want to live my life worrying about it all the time.  My family would respect that.  The gene doesn't mean you'll get it, you know?  And the stress isn't good for your body.  Hmmm, I think I'll put the olive oil in salad dressing and on fish, but can I watch you drink that martini?  ;)

Even if you don't want to know, Temple, do it for your family.
It's the one's left behind who suffer their own brand of pain.  And do it for yourself.  You seem like the type of person the world would truly miss if you weren't in it.  So knock back a shot or two of olive oil.  Hell, I'm thinking about inventing a new martini.  Hmm, replace the olive with the oil.  We'll call it the Slick Marini.  (Besides, Temple, think of all those jealous bitches out there that would love to have you and your endowments out of the competition.  Get tested for spite. ).

There are so many things that conflict on breast cancer, though.
I know, I have a 60% risk.  I could take the test for the breast cancer gene and have it paid for by insurance (if I had insurance right now) if I wanted to, it's that high.  I'm suppose to start mammograms already, but I have county medical and I can't get them approved because I'm already 37 and um, uh....well endowed. :)  (It's harder to read the mammograms when there is that much, um, tissue.) They believe it would be futile.  But, that's the protocal for those in my position with insurance.  I don't want to take the test, I don't want to know.  I'll just take precautions either way because the gene doesn't mean you will get it for sure, it just means you'll worry about it more.  This particular research would be better for me if Jimmy lived in town.  He's the cook. :)
