I am very much a driver - I have two homes with a 750 mile commute that I make once quarterly or so. At the home in Texas, everything is a "drive" through the most beautiful hill country, around the lake I live on, trees, horses, ranches, wildflowers, breath-taking scenery at every turn...I never mind driving...best alone time there is.

I use to love going for drives at night to do some thinking...haven't done it much lately though..now I'm always on blogit thinking..hmm. Maybe I should get out of the house again??

i love going for long drives.... in the country, along the coast, on the freeway, day time/night time.... but yeah, i would have been more then ready to get home too in your shoes...... very well written, made me want to go cruise around in the rainy country side!
