John, for every day I linger, it seems that another two
pass before I know it.

'Delay being danger' is a new one on me, word - but I do understand completely how you feel about not getting the article out.

Tigerprincess, thanks.
Breaking it down in small parts is a good way to get it done. Yeah and then I get to do the other fun stuff all right.

Cass, that's high up on my list of priorities.

L.E.

Make sure you do that post on Sigma Six, otherwise I'll have to go look up what that is.   I agree that over editing is pointless.

Editing can be hard. Just do it fifteen minutes at a time. Sit down at your computer and tell yourself all you have to do right now is edit for fifteen minutes. Then take a break. In another hour sit down for another fifteen minutes. That way it's not as overwhelming, and you get it done!!!!!!!Then it leaves you with time to do more important things.... like blog!! :-)

I'm not big at the editing bit myself. Yes, I do suggest a second computer. I need one too.

Much as I love to tinker with what I first write, I've found that there is a point where the effort to improve is not worth the result. A couple of years ago, I was amazed at the concept of Sigma Six. Not the concept itself, but the fact that I'd been using it for years - taught me by my mother.

Hmmm... Thank you,  word - I think I'll dig out that one for the next post...

Hammock, if you don't know why you write,
then you're in serious trouble.

Agreed Ginnie.

I don't know why I'm still editing this article, when I wrote it about three months ago.   I do need a second computer. I have everything else except a hard drive. I called the repair man up to this morning, begging and pleading with him to give me something basic, with learning games installed so my son can leave mine alone.

If I let my inner child out to play, I'd
never get a thing done! As it is the one I am contending with is the one who is four feet high and prone to getting lollypop smears all over my mouse.

There comes a time word...
..when ya gotta stop editing and send it flying. It's hard sometimes to when it's done though! Sounds like you need a second computer too? A lil young eh? LOL!

Word
Are you referring to your metaphorical inner-child? or one like I have sitting in the TV room watching Dragon Tales and eating Life cereal? Oh... I definitely have one of the former as well.
