Thanks, and you're right.

I think they were too long.

avant-garde -- the truth of the matter is ...if a person truly believes in
and is capable of adhering to their own convictions it shouldn't be necessary to win a pissing contest with someone else. Yet we all still find ourselves falling into the trap.

good move, gomer
ultimately, the right question is 'do i want to be right, or be happy?'

majroj - I was not suggesting that your comments were too long
I was implying that in both of your initial comments there was much food for thought. Worthy of a post in themselves.

SHORT comment, I promise!

1. The key to forebearance is NOT to try to imagine yourself in their shoes too much.

2. I resent that "meer people" slur. Don't you mean, "My readers excepted?".

Gome, well, I don't always maintain balance...this afternoon, for example,
I've felt moody and on edge...as a result, I've written more pointed posts and comments to people, that normally I wouldn't do.  I feel confrontational right now and I recognize it...during such times, it's best to stay away from Blogit, because I know good and well there's ALWAYS something on Blogit that can trigger reactions, and make things worse...Limey's post for example, was one of them, and then Talion's...I like both of these guys, but I felt singled out by their posts today...NORMALLY, I laugh it off or write satire and a post to mock it, but from a friendly angle...today, didn't feel so friendly.  See?  I fail miserably.

Actually Ariala -- I've often wondered how you do it
I'm speaking of maintaining your equilibrium when the knives come out. Another consideration is when does this sort of thing ruin the blogging experience for someone? We've seen that before as well, where someone gets so shaken up they leave Blogit. For me the simple fact remains that I am old enough to know better to carry it on.

Gome, I might have missed your posts, but I love your attitude of wanting
to get beyond it all...I have my struggles as well, and I've been the center of many hate campaigns, misunderstandings, finger pointings and etc. on Blogit.  I have not yet reached the point of NOT commenting, and responding with a post or whatever.  I continually disappoint myself because of it...continually.  The best we can do is delete our own posts when we fail to live up to our silent standard of avoiding the 'Game.'
