Actually DamenLeigh...
It is about a poor guy whose wife wrote a book and got insulted when he hired a ghostwriter to "fix" it. He asked me not to mention it and then he felt guilty and told her. So she throws a fit and spends $1000 to a vanity publisher who told her that nothing was wrong with the "novel" (all 37 pages of it) and they would even give her 15 copies she could sell or give away. He admitted all this to me this morning when I confronted him over the phone. This has all been for show for his wife who wants the money back.
I told him to do what he wants with his wife. I make absolutely no refunds and I will check in with him once a week as I have done and that I don't deal with people this way.
I think his wife wears the pants. I lost count at the tenth apology.
You know...I just don't need all this drama

It's All Just...
...a drama coming from mis-communication, by the sounds of it.
It'll work out fine, and you won't even be thinking about it by the end of the month.

I will keep you guys posted. Tonight I am just trying not to think about how mad I am. Mike says that there's nothing much he really can do if the deal goes sour but I don't want this to sully my reputation as a writer.
This is so frustrating. I am a writer not an attorney.

This guy sounds kind of creepy to me...If I were you, I'd try to report him to your mail server. You can also block him from sending you e-mails if necessary. I think the best thing you can do for yourself and your family is to tell this guy where he can get off and tell him to find someone else to finish his wife's precious book. You certainly seem like an incredibly strong woman and you don't have to put up with his childish threats.
Just my thoughts of course...Only you can really decide what to do about the situation. Best wishes to you. Keep us posted.
