what exactly am I wrong about?
I was speaking of my fellow Christians in those 2 comments, not the homosexuals.

I wrote a post a while back pointing out just how stupid them saying 'love the sinner, hate the sin' really is. After all with something like homosexuality, the whole idea of homosexuality is what defines the person on some level. Those people are Homosexual. So if you consider homosexuality a sin, you can not separate the sin form the sinner and so to claim you hate the sin you are saying you hate the sinner.
So whenever a believer says 'I love the sinner, but hate the sin' they are just trying it justify their BS and say they are not hateful, when it fact all they are is doing is promoting hate towards those people, not the sin. It is not like the sin itself really has anything to do with it all. How can you go after a sin and get it to stop being a sin?

Of course you are right; everone has the right to choose their own life style. And, Cantey, I think you are wrong; I feel that people will be waking up and realizing life is not all about the book; it's not about the book at all.

hopefully they will soon learn to stop making asses of themselves and distorting the message of Jesus Christ.
I say that from the heart, not to disrespect anyone.

cantey_1975 -- the only thing that holds out a bit of hope is the fact the
parade was 1/2 the size of last year. In this arena and with this issue at least, interest will erode. It's a done deal. Once same sex marriage was ratified in our Charter of Rights and Freedoms having it overturned is a lost cause.

One can only hope that these placard carrying fools will eventually lose their enthusiasm and learn to let others live their lives determined by the individual's own needs. Not by a set of beliefs imposed on others.
that is a futile hope, I am ashamed to say. But, nothing wrong with hoping anyway.
