I jump on blogit for a bit of fun!
There's always something happening around here and some great people to chat to or read about their antics instead!

Cass,
Isn't it weird how as adults, we have to seek out "fun things" to do? When we're kids, it's like an endless world of stuff. Well, especially nowadays. I rarely hear kids saying they're bored!

U.G.G. thank you. Actually I work at a University that offers casual courses like that. Its just that I lack the time to do them. I have tried rollerblading - what a laugh that was! I refused to let go of my middle son's shoulders (they were his blades).

Hey, for fun, I, like you would love to go to a disc or something or may be a friend get together.
But otherwise, my fun is, when I can play on.... my music! That's life for me!

I agree, fun is what you have every day when life is good. I have fun when I see my friend, or spend time with my fiancée. I also have fun surfing the net, and posting, commenting and reading on Blogit.

I WAS A MOTHER OF TWO TEENS
When my doctor casually asked one day 'sooooo what do you do for fun.' I too was stumped......'WHAT DO I DO FOR FUN' hadn't entered my brain since I was a child. So I went home that night and pondered what it was I did for fun? Then my husband came home and wanted dinner, the kids needed to be driven here and there, the phone rang, laundry had to be started, yada, yada, yada and so my life went till just now as I read your post. I laughed cuz I could identify with you but then I gotta ask mysel once again, 'What is it I do for fun?' Thanks for reminding me to get back to that thought I started back in the 80's!

Ca88andra, sometimes "fun" comes the most often when one is not trying so hard to have fun. I try to mix a little fun in with everything I do. Before I retired, I even had fun while I worked. I was notorious for it at a place where most people were whining.

Ca88 - fun always seems unscheduled in my universe ...
salsa dancing = fun.
concerts = fun
son's basketball tournament = not fun

Once a month...
try something new. I don't know where you live, but usually there's a decent colege that offers non-credit classes: salsa, pottery, wine tasting, whatever. And at least once a month, do something new. As simple as a bike ride or walk in a park you've never checked out, to a movie solo, try rollerbladning, indoor rock wall climbing. It's how you find what is FUN to you. And, you might meet people in the process. (Friends and "more-than-friends" do tend to happen when you don't expect it.)

You could do the salsa as you would meet the people there. I knew a woman who taught salsa and found love--only trouble was she was married at the time. Yes fun is important
