The women, grandmammina
seem to be religiously inclined. The men on the otherhand, seem to look at religion as a form of duty that they can include among their minor concerns.

padre, I think that it falls upon the men to found and build and man the
churches, but it is the women who use it most, no? And, since most churches are already built and standing, founded and manned, then, they are, in modern times, mostly 'used' by the women. I found this to be so in Mexico and in Brasil.
Women, who have less power inside of their relationships with men, within their communities and in society in general, can only turn to God with their sorrows, I think, voicing their disappointments, and then their dreams. No?
