Yeah, apparently there are two wrathful entities involved in life:  Me, and whoever's been screwing with me.

God is Jesus Christ

I have to make one more comment on this

.We are to pray to God in Jesus' name...for Jesus did the footwork here on earth.  The trinity is a three-part God...God the spirit....Jesus, the Son, and the Holy Spirit...the comforter God sent after Jesus ascended back to heaven.  It's like an organization......that is in total agreement...One part does one job, another part does another job.

I believe the Catholic church is trying to honor Mary as Jesus's Mother, but I believe they are wrong to pray to her.  She was an earthly woman who had to be saved by Jesus like we all do...We can only go to God through Jesus Christ, his Son...that is why our prayers should all end...In Jesus' Name....that's the way God wants it.......and this whole creation of earth and beyond is his creation to do with as he sees fit.

Michael
It would take a clergy to really know the answers to the questions you asked. It has been my experience to put these questions to rest by a statement made to me by a spiritual being. He said God is everything and all religions of the world pray to the same God. When I asked him about other religions, Muslims praying to Mohammad, Christian's praying to Jesus, etc. he said all were of the same God..that God being the Father of Abraham. Probably not much help in this area, will watch this post and see if I can learn more myself.

One God

Jesus said "If you have seen me,  you have seen the Father...God is Spirit...Jesus was God born in the flesh, so he could be man's substitute on the cross.  He was the Son of God...but God sent him to earth to experience as man does...(he wwas tempted in every way that man can be tempted, and yet he remained sinless (his God-nature).  See..he had been in Heaven before he came to earth to do that task of providing the atonement for sin.  He faithfully said he would come down and do it (die on the cross) ...knowing that he would be put to death.......then he was resurrected and ascended back to heaven to God the Father where he waits, making intercession for us . Jesus is the Perfect Lamb, slaughtered for us...spat on, beaten, crucified...and he did it all humbly without speaking a word.....But one day....one day...He will come back in the clouds as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.  He's alive today.  The god of every other religion on earth has been a mortal man...who died and is still dead and buried.  Jesus...the one true Lord....arose from the grave, and prepared the way to the Father for us.

Any questions you have you can go to him and ask him to reveal himself to you.  He will do it.  It's all about a personal relationship with him..  You know all the good and glorious things he did while on earth could not be contained in all the books on earth at present time....?  The bible says so.....What a fascinating book!!

(I hope this helped in some way.)  I am not a minister.  One might be able to answer your questions.  But, remember Satan comes as an angel of light....in other words..he comes in disguise, making one think he's a true teacher of God's word.... and some other religions believe in God...Where the rubber meets the road is Do they believe in Jesus Christ...thta he was virgin born...God in the Flesh... that he was sinless, lived ..died...was buried and resurrected......and now is seated at the right hand of the Father in heaven.  Whoever truly believes those things is a genuine Christian.  The Bible says that, also.

God is three distinct beings
or personalities. They are One God in the sense that they are in perfect harmony and accord with each other, something that is strange to our fallen, rebellious, striving natures.

The whole "trinity thing" is very confusing indeed. I am told that since

Jesus and God were of one mind that they are the same, this does not make sense to me because it would have been like God killed himself. I have another question to pose to your readers. If God says not to pray to anyone but him, then why do Catholics pray to the Virgin Mary?? This is a very good, thought provoking post. It will be interesting to follow the comments.
