Hollee,
Princess Bride, The Holy Grail, and Fargo are classic. Favorite Fargo line, of course, "That your friend in the wood chipper?" Other Princess Bride lines: "You keep using that word, I do not think that it means what you think it means." and "I've spent a lifetime building up an immunity to Iocane", "Never mess with a Sicilian when death is on the line. Mwahahahaha *clunk*"
Other favorites that I would own if they came my way cheaply enough: Shawshank Redemption, I can't get enough of it and neither can MG, Devil's Advocate: at last Pacino and Keanu Reeves have discovered their true calling: trial lawyers. Gattaca, a black and chilling vision of futuristic society, Jude Law, Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman; The Unforgiven, who doesn't love Clint Eastwood in this movie?

Interesting list, Holly. I love The Princess Bride! And anything Monty Python is just too hilarious not to watch.
I'm a sucker for movies like The Color Purple, Contact, and As Good as it Gets. Newer stuff I love: Adaptation, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and The Royal Tennenbaums. Just can't tear myself away from those.

Loved your list, Hollee. Isn't it funny what movies we can watch over and over. I don't dare check out the movie channels on cable unless I have lots of time because if I run into one of those favorites, I have to sit down and watch it no matter what. LOL

Boy I am behind on everything. I thought Jake stayed at the other place.
That's how much I know about anything. LOL I love movies that speak to me, and I want to see them again and again too.

Anybody who plays golf
quotes the entire script of Caddyshack the entire time you're on the course.
God, Steel magnolias! I made the idiotic mistake of taking my mom, two sisters, adn a couple of assorted cousins and my girlfriend to that movie. The booed and hawed and sniffled and blew noses through the whole thing. It got so bad, I started laughing at them, whihc casued everyone else in the theater to think I was some kind of maniacal bastard - which I guess I am, come to think of it.
By the time the movie was over, I might as well have been Uncle Fester.
