Vibrance / May - I tried creating my own consultancy a few years ago. It worked for awhile, but as it was arts related the money in the industry dried up and it all got too difficult. Yes, I could reinvent it but I want to work on my writing instead. A second job is only going to be a short term fix to get my debts paid off.

I.R. I've looked into writing resumes for other people but there are so many others out there doing it I don't think its worth it. I'm looking into after hours sessional tutoring amongst other things.

ginnie - I just hope I can keep the ball rolling! The problem with my CV is keeping it fairly compact. It would easily run to 6 or 7 pages if I let it.

Symphony - I hope so! Thank you.

Create your own job!
thanks for reading my post about Tibet. I really appreciate how open-minded you always are...as far as work, create your own job! Working for others is such a big pain the rear-end...keep us posted. Love, Vib

I wish you the best.I often forget that the seasons from Down Under...
differ from the seasons here. You talk resumes, college, etc.Can you bring some extra income in through those skills, or do you already?

You're right, working on the old res. is a drag, but it must be done. Proceed with that job prospect with caution and who knows, it might turn out to be a good thing!

You've got the ball rolling fast Cass!
Good for you and good luck. You are an industrious woman! And I agree that updating a 'CV' is a drag but then you realize how much you have really accomplished!

lol offbeat! I'm not looking for that many benefits. All I want is a short term solution to paying my debts. Once I've done that I won't have to have a second job.

May - I will check it out thank you. I've worked as a tutor for Indigenous children before and that tutoring is very well paid. I have my name down to tutor there again too, but at present there is no funding for primary school children, only high school ones. And there are very few Indigenous children in high school.

Ca88

It is a struggle out there. I hope you find something that pays you what your worth, appreciates you for the fine person you are, and makes you happy because you like doing it. Good luck my friend!!

Ca88andra, as someone who took on tutoring recently I would say this. It is rewarding in many ways but least of all financially. Do check out what other work is involved as that can reduce the hourly rate to a pittance. Good luck
