I'm sure he was encouraged to go.
As for the other question, I'm referring to the candidates themselves speaking from the pulpit in obvious campaign appearances. But, as in all likelihood happened with your subject, tax-exempt status is jeopardized for using non-political non-profits for political purposes. I work for a non-profit, and last year I had to ask a local candidate to kindly remove his sign from our newly-purchased property (the former owner was a friend of his, and he was unaware that we had bought the property.)

could it be he was sort of "urged" to resign?
is speaking from a pulpit an endorsement of the candidate?

This pastor was a nut case
That's pastor, not poster! He did the absolutely appropriate thing and resigned.
Now: Will the pastors who allowed Democrats to campaign from their pulpits do likewise?

I've posted it in Random Thoughts in Family & Education. Made it a contest.

if you're on the right track -- I'll tell you what -- I'll post it and see who can decipher the word.

I have to put all those ideas together. That fights with the many pseudos for me. I'll keep at it.

there are glands
around the thyroid, about 4 of them, each about the size of a mustard seed -- these are the parathyroid glands ("around" or "near" the thyroid.

Thanks
I knew it had to do with religious opinion, and from your topics, I got the anti in front of it all. I'm glad my mom hadn't heard of the last one. :) I thought it was a slam dunk, then my eyes did a sort of unfocusing. When I started tearing it apart, it was taking that electronics piece apart. And like I've seen happen when my brother does it, I have three extra part taunting me, not quite fitting for me. The "par" in the middle. I'm working on it.

the meaning of the word, terpgirl
you have to break it down
establishmentarianism -- meaning the establishment of a state religion, such as we had in the Middle Ages in Europe.
disestablishmentarianism is basically dissolving such
and antidisestablishmentarianism means to be in favor of returning to a state religion, ergo, a religion running the state and favored by the state.
and now i tack on an anti- at the beginning, which isn't found in Webster's Unabridged (where the original word is found), to demonstrate that I am against state favored religion such as Christian Conservatives and their cohorts in Congress and state legislatures seem to want to foist upon us.
footnote: there is one longer word: pseudopseudohypoparathyroidism. That one should be easy to figure out.

I didn't care much about the meaning when I was four, to be honest,
but being a Type A, I looked it up somewhere along the line. I haven't used it in conversation in years...okay, never. I remember it wasn't described as a word, per se, but as a concept. It was/is for people who want to keep church and state mingled, as I remember. I'm not 100 percent sure. I only looked it up the one time, did a shrug, and became obsessed with figuring out something else. :) I figure you used it as a title for a reason, so if you can explain it, I'd love to hear it.

Love Your Blog's Title
Antidisestablishmentarianism is the first word my mom ever taught me to spell. I was 4, and we were drying dishes, as we usually were when she did her lessons. I always laughed that this is one of those words you'll hear once in your life...when you're forced to learn it. Well, again, mom was right.
