Very interesting post (no, really!). I take it you mean Christian as in emulating the actual values of Christ -- pacifistic, socialistic -- over against the dog-eat-dog capitalism that so many Christians paradoxically find consistent with Christ's teachings.
There's an important discussion to be had with regard to this, because it is clear that market capitalism produces strong incentives to behave in very un-Christian ways.
I think it's cool that you had a drink with the vicar. I would have been too shy to even walk in the church; and would have been positively mortified if I walked in and found so few people that my arrival was conspicuous!

The woods sound beauitful. Love carpet like that, especially bluebells. As for the hail you might want to consider a helmet? Maybe not, that could lead to a hearing problem. If they get up to 14 pounds like Justso says, we're all doomed, it doesn't matter how far they fall from.

Damon Leigh nice post. Yes the hail will get larger, more frequent just
as the hurricanes and volcanoes. Revelation says they will get to be I believe 14 pounds. Those will put a knot on one's head.

Nah. God...
...knows better than to screw with me.
Anyway, I just found out that God doesn't believe in me. Which just about balances things up nicely.

They're formed by God...like, pretty high up.
And He was obviously trying to smite you for being wicked. Kinda surprising that He botched it up. He usually uses lightning on me, which can really keep a guy on his toes..

Wow.fascinating day Damon!
If you open yourself up to people and new experiences you can sure add some richness to your life. I loved the 'carpet of bluebells'! I miss being in the woods...they are ever-changing and I love that. Sounds like the perfect day..curry included! ;)

Hail can be very perplexing, especially when it occurs during bright sunshine! Yes, I've seen that happen several times.
