How many miles a day does Zoke drive?
I'm sure you're being absolutely conscientious about your hatred of the President and the oil industry by refusing to use any oil products such as gasoline, lubricating oils, plastics . . . you'd better get rid of your computer, because that horrible, nasty, evil oil industry is responsible for much of its content.
By the way: Gas broke $2.00 a gallon for the first time under Clinton. Does that mean he was bought and paid for by big oil as well?

Not only living simply and wisely
but there are LOTS of alternative energy sources THAT ARE SITTING RIGHT NOW IN THE LAB!!! They are waiting to be mass produced. There used to be an engine made by a company called Rosen Motors. It could get to Kansas on one tank of gas!! The company went bankrupt because nobody bought the damn thing!!!

oh twodog...
at least do your part to come closer to center. recognize that energy decisions ARE being made to the detriment of the environment. viable alternatives have been a reality for some time. it's just that we, as a society, are not making the difficult decisions to live more simply. live more wisely.

Another Name Caller Without Viable Alternatives
Are you willing to stop using your petrolium dependent form of transportation? You know, sell your car, buy a bike, or walk. If you are, or already have, you might have a little more credibility.
Okay, let's all buy alternative power vehicles, for how much are they now? What happens to the folks who cant afford hybird vehicles? Tough luck is it? Find another way to get to work? What do we do about a world economy that depends on petrolium powr sources? What about the oil fired electiiciy generating plants? Shut them down, and replace them with, what?
Have you ever spent any time in Alaska? Perhaps asked the average Alaskan citizen how he or she feels about increased employment, tax revinue? Don't you think it rather arrogant to force your view of the world on the citizens of another?
I keep hearing whats wrong with the currently proposed energy plan, out there for almost four years now. But, I never hear of an economical alternative, a way to transition from an petrolium based economy to something better.
So, the President is bought and paid for by the oil lobby. Would that be similar to Clinton being bought and paid for by the Chinese? Who would you rather buy our leaders? Oh, and I have to assume the voters that put our leaders in office are also bought and paid for by the oil lobby, or the Chinese, or the minority citizens of the United States.
Come on, if you don't agree with current policy, come up with something better instead of finding all that is wrong with the one proposed or in effect
