LOL David...The situation for the sick and disabled in Russia tears my heart out...Sadly, this truly is for their own protection.  They are not allowed to work or even attend schools or have their own homes because it is simply too dangerous.  I hope one day this terrible truth will change...

Spivida, David...I'd love to go to Russia one day to help the sick and disabled there.  I don't know if you know this or not, but government policy requires them to be institutionalized for their own protection.  Those for whom there is no room in such facilities are simply left on the streets to die if there are no family members to care for them.

i felt i was reading about my father. I grew up thinking Joe was my evil uncle. I was about 12 when i realized my father was talking about a dictator and not my evil uncle Joe back in Hungary...good work, keep it up. Love Vib

Very good!
There is a very good book called "Modern Times" by Paul Johnson that I have read many times. It describes some of the terrible things that soldiers and civilians had to go thru during WWII. Your story makes me remember what I read!
