Hey you
Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Ask for more, more, more! The more you have, the more you have to spread around, right? It's simply a universal principle! Go for it!

Good insights Ca88andra. I hope your plans and dreams are fulfilled in that pot o' gold with your name on it. And if they're not, well you'll have the pot as a memento at least!

I TOO ... FOUND THE NEED TO SHOP FOR THAT RED FERRARI
I know exactly where you are coming from. My 'five years' has now wittled down to 'three to go'. So far have managed the school trips to Queensland, dinners, sports activities etc. I can buy them new clothes as well. I am able to do this because every item I wear is second hand. Yes!! I go Op-Shopping for myself. I have found some fabulous buys and feel that a lot of the time I look better dressed than others I am with. I will confess, "I have become addicted to Op-Shopping." I am up at 4.45AM every morning; and retire at about 10.00PM every night. Have got use to it but keep telling myself, "only three years to go!!" Those 'ankle-biters' are worth it though are they not? Go search for that Ferrari, owning one makes life busy, chaotic, tiring and totally out of control at times. However, it is fun and very satisfying.

You have the right attitude
I'll give you that. Money is not everything, but it sure does get you some pretty nice things. I also want a bigger income. This year has been a good year for me as far as making money from writing, but it could be better. I want a Ferrari also, but I'll take mine in black please.

the book
Yesterday you commented on my blog and asked the name of the book I was referring to. I just left a comment there, but wanted to make sure you got the name of the book. "Excuse Me Your Life is Waiting" by Lynn Grabhorn. I just read your latest post and really think this could change your life. And no, I'm not a whack job cult-like psycho. Read it, it's simple physics. Would love to discuss it with you after.

I think this happens to people who have been married a while too. Every now and then they think back to their days in a Ferrari. The luckiest ones can go there with the old car parked in the garage.
I agree that you must take risks. I am taking a complete risk right now doing all sorts of things that I have never done before. The only challenge is that I am not very well. That of course in part could be a symptom of taking all those risks. Leave no stone unturned

I agree....
...love and all the wonderful intangibles of life are great..maybe the best..but money is needed to make the road much smoother and it's naive to think you don't need it! I spent many 'hippy' mentality years thinking money was totally unnecessary...racked up a lot of debt that way. I'm sure you are level-headed enough to take safe risks....and I'd love to read about your adventures along the way..GOOD LUCK Cass! You can do it!

Ca88 - my advice: spend it on yourself ...
I could give you tons of examples where parents try to give their kids the very best opportunties, and the kid doesn't appreciate the sacrifice and throws it away. Make the kid work for what he wants and buy yourself a fast car.
