The orb in the bottom picture
closely resembles the one we have seen in our own home. They gently flow through the air and then, "poof" they either become a full apparition or they disappear.

DarkD, write a post!!
I'd love to read about it!  Peer Pressure Peer Pressure!

Nope ...

but I think that would be a good idea. When I visit my hometown I may try to do a little digging. Seems that nobody can live there very long. There was more to my story too, perhaps I should just write a post about it later ... It was spooky that is for sure ... my mother felt very uncomfortable there. She always felt like someone was in the room with her...

DarkD, holy crap! Did you ever research the history on the house?
I'd love to know!

When I was a little girl ....
it was said that our house was haunted. Previous owners would sell and move as fast as they moved in. After we moved into the house strange things started to happen. The dryer would turn itself on in the middle of the night and the echoes of little children playing could be heard in the basement. Everytime my father would go downstairs to check things out the dryer would turn off and the laughter would stop. As he walked back upstairs again - it would start and so on. We also had two full grown dobermans that refused to go into the basement. They followed my father everywhere but down there. I remember him trying to physically carry the female (Brandy) down and her hair stood up on her back and she started to growel. She clawed her way out of my dads arms and ran back up the stairs. This was not normal behaviour for her. We moved out soon after and my uncle moved in - he lasted about three months and had to move out too. There have not been long-term owners since ....  true story

JJ, thanks. And that metaphor was certainly not to
"toot my own horn." hehe. No pun intended there!

Spiff, a very good point--the metaphor of the mechanic.

JJ, I never expect or disrespect anyone and their opinions
regarding stuff like this. I have many years behind my experience, personal experiences, research, and knowledge, but I realize this is a subject that is highly up for interpretation even by skeptics, believers, and others whom are indifferent. I also realize that this is an area that is difficult for others to accept. I respect all opinions, however keeping in mind that I respect the offering of opinions from others regarding what may be wrong with my car, but I put more faith in the opinions and suggestions of my trusted mechanic.

Spits,

I find that the best way to deal with such matters, at least for me, is to neither believe nor disbelieve.  That is always taken by believers as disbelief, and by disbelievers as belief.  No one can comprehend that there is a third choice.  Oh well; let them think what pleases them.

Factor, in all seriousness, anything, any movement can
dredge up dust no matter how clean a house is! I find most dust particles appear in basements and other rooms with not so much daily activity, but also many are in a living room, too. Dust is not always seen by the human eye just as pet dander and other allergens aren't. The camera, however, can pick up even the smallest particle especially due to light angles.

Hmmm I guess I should compare how dusty my house is to other houses via the number of spots?? I have to look at some when I get a chance and see which room has the most...

Factor, most of the time those "blobs" or spots are just dust particles.
They may also be light reflections. There is a way to analyze the pic to see if it's spirit energy or some other explained reason. That's why they usually have to be analyzed. Many orbs, vortexes, and apparitions will contain orbs (like, trailing orbs) within itself. I can usually tell right off the bat if it's dust, but light reflections need to be analyzed. Like I mentioned in the post, I get soooo many that turn out to be explained as dust or other things not of the paranormal.

I don't know Spitfire
Those orbie things show up all the time in out photos. I think it has something to do with the digital camera. And if you know how to get rid of those...PLEASE let me know. I hate having dots in my photos all the time!

TimmyTales, acutally, yes, that pic on the side bar
(I think you're referring to the one with the big wall?) is one of the pics taken in St. Augustine, FL (the oldest town in the US) by a parapsychologist and his ghost hunting crew. And, no, that's not gas coming from the dog in the posts' pic! (funny, though!) But what I analyzed with my software program is what we call trailing orbs. It's like an envelope of spirit orbs but they move in such a speedy motion that only a camera can pick up the acutal "trail" of the motion. The one "big blob sphere" looking one is definitely not dust. That is also a spirit energy appearing as a "ball of light" to us physical living people.

Is it possibly flatulence? Actually, the picture of the two guys standing in front of the wall......to the right it looks like there is a face.

Ariala, no, it's not a "ghost" but it is a great shot of spiritual activity
aka an "orb." An orb is basically a ball of light; a sphere of spirit energy which is the easiest way to capture it because it takes the spiritual entitiy the least amount of energy to manifest itself (whether it chooses to on purpose or not) to the physical realm.

Call me a skeptic, but I just don't think that's a "ghost..."
