I came to work one day and found the copier severely mangled. The drawer torn off it's hinges and twisted in such a way that the innards were irreparable and called for serious service/repair. I understood the impulse completely.

That just gave me a good idea for my sitcom... a worker wrestling with the printer, and the printer fighting back... damn it, where's my pen?!?
