Well little miss...
I confess, I don't get the cupcakes thing, but I did get the fortune cookie. Yes, humour (notice I used a spelling friendly to you) is sometimes lost in the translation. Sometimes I think for a long time on how to make a saying into a pun, then when I read it I'm almost embarassed. Almost......that is. For instance I have been working on this for, oh, maybe five or six minutes, far too long at any rate: There is an "artwork" that is a bee keeper holding a bee's nest in his hand and he is covered head to toe with the buzzing creatures. All of which goes to prove (look out, here it comes) beauty is in the eye of the bee holder.
I apologize semi-profusely, snicker.

That could be it! Maybe we need to include intonation marks on our writing so people will get it! and know when to pause! Actually, we could just insert a [laugh here] sign!!!

that's true. I thnk it has something to do with timing. It's like the saying a soldier fall on his own sword. ~Silly

How very true. I have found this happens with email and telephone conversations. Or maybe people just don't understand me!!!
