We always encourage all members to keep copies of their Blogit writing so that they have a backup. Blogit is not a substitute for a reliable backup although we try our best to make sure that your writing is safe here.
You may also wish to go to your Write page and then click on Edit next to the name of the blog you want to save. Then, click on Change display settings and increase the number of posts on each page to the maximum. That will reduce your blog to the minimum number of pages.
You can then go to File on your web browser and click on Save As for each page to save all your writing one (long) page at a time. You may wish to change back the number-of-posts-on-a-page setting once you're done.
Please also see our answers to many of the questions that have come up in the last couple of days:

Write in something else first.
Personally, I do my writing in Word, then copy from there. If I'm inclined to be fancy, I then take the text, push it through notepad (or equivalent) and add in the relatively simple HTML stuff and copy that across to blogit. That way,I've always got a copy for my own use (the originals serve as the basis for books and articles).

I think cut and paste or copy and paste is the only way...
You don't have to cut, of course. You can just select in the read view, control C, and paste into your blank Word page.
