King James translators used the word hate where "love less by comparison" would have more descriptive of the intent of the passage.
In othere words, one must love more the Kingdom -- or the goal -- not hate in the negative sense one's family -- but be true to one's conscience. If others have a problem with that, then that's their problem.

I'm curious.
Exactly how do you figure he fulfills them better. That's a bold statement. I would like to fulfill the scriptures. What I am interpreting your saying (forgive me I am trying to figure out what you mean) that in order to fulfill the scriptures, people have to hate you?
