It's our version of your remarks.
It's just us American's making fun of you Brits and the statistics of how many Brits have such big teeth. It's our version of your:

And, of course, you touch on another major hate: the way Americans ruin quiet, peaceful low-cost - and often very beautiful - places simply to produce some tawdry corn-flakes toy. It makes no sense. Local culture destroyed, environment destroyed, and all for short-term gain. (The Americans' gain, that is).

Interesting comment ...
Dentists aren't covered by most insurance plans in the US and must be paid for with a separate policy. This leads to huge disparities among the American population as to who visits the dentist and who can't afford to. As more large corporations exit the US for slave labor locales in Asia, you're going to find more and more Americans with less than perfect teeth.
