I have had times when I was scared to tell people about being bipolar but I would rather chance the discrimination of the ignorant if it means that I provide a truer picture of what bipolar is. When people see what is true ignorance, discrimination and prejudice cannot thrive.

Goddess - thank you for sharing with everyone...
The stereotypes abound for your illness as well as others, and it does not seem fair that they are what pops into mind for the uninitiated. TV does promote ignorance as well as the education they would like us to focus on...
