That's right, fwmystic.
Those in charge could care less.  Texas is a red state.  Go figure.  Lately, from what I hear from the conservative right, if you didn't inherit it or somehow worked to get rich, you are beneath their contempt.  Foster children don't vote, run huge corporations, or pay taxes, so they don't count.  Gays and bi-sexuals make up such a small percentage of the voting public that they don't count either.  The only thing that counts is what keeps the capitalist-political machine running.  Besides, foster care is a by-product of liberalism and, therefore, an unnecessary societal burden.

What's funny is that there's a shortage of foster parents ...
and this legislation will mandate the CPS to inquire about a couple's sexual preference, and will uproot children already placed in foster homes. But, who are we kidding, the Republicans in charge could give a rat's ass about foster kids.
