Most religions are quite "beautiful" in their own ways, Metta.
They generally advocate harmony, peace, betterment of the self and the human condition. But this jihad business, this bastardization of its original intent, has not only divided Islam but has given it a face that most people recognize, that of the world terrorist.

it is a shame how a small minority in any religion can give the religion a bad name... it has happened to Christianity and it is happening to Islam... Islam is a beautiful religion - and yes, it is about the inner jihad against the inner self - for the Greater... not this outer war that a few have taken up.
