Dear Dennis:  Your question instantly reveals the fact that you see God in a "human" form.  First, let us look back in history and recognize that this world existed millions of years before we came across the Semites, where the Hebrews had their beginning.  God is Spirit, invisible, just as our true selves are - spirit.  The soul is comprised of the entire mind:  

Spirit                                                     Soul                                                                             Body

Commonly called                               The entire mind:                                                    Vehicle for the soul.

The Christ, I AM                               Thoughts are the conscious mind       

Source, Omnipresence                       Feelings and permanent "tape recorder" are the 

Omnipotence, Omniscient                   Subconscious Mind.

Divine Pattern, IDEA,

Breath of God

Image-likeness of  God.

First, We are only talking about MIND:  "Let  this mind be in you that is also in Christ Jesus."  Each mind is an individualized expression of the Christ Mind.

God is our loving Father-Mother, Creator. 

God's relationship to us is expressed:  MIND                                                            

                                                       There is but One MIND
