You don't remember the pug faced girl comment?
Our last conversation, right before we hung up, I was talking about something and you said... yeah, you are so totally me ...about the pug faced girl?  It's in the email I don't think you're getting, but it's not significant, just funny at the time and fitting for the post.  If you aren't getting them, I'll check the address again and send them all to you.

Temple, um, are you taking those little blue pills again??
Oh, yeah, Sinatra. Yeah, never mind about that. Now, what's with the pug face thing? Who has a pug face and why?

Yes, JJ, and we all heard it, too!!

Those pics are too cute...
I want a doggie now!  Well, I have forever.  I don't trust people that don't love animals, and I can never understand when people don't have pets.  Not that I judge it, just that it would never occur to me to not have them, yanno?  You know.   Sinatra?  I don't get it.  I love Sinatra.  And Frankie is so cute, those are great pictures....but I don't think I was supposed to get it.  Now I'm rambling.  Ever seen a girl with a pug face?  There's a question you don't get at work I bet.  :)

JJ,
EEEEWWW! You're sicker than me! (Is that really possible?!)

I wanna know,
Can you use the scales that they weigh horses and cattle in to weigh people?  Or do you have to put a horse in and weigh it with the cowboy on it, then write it down and weigh just the horse without him on it?  Kind of a ''trick the scales'' deal?  Please let me know right away as I have a herd of people that the cannibals are interested in buying.   Mr  JJ...  Livestock Sales

OBP,

Sinatra?? Hmmmm..

Well, I don't think most half-way intelligent folks would be the ones asking REALLY stupid questions. I suppose we all do now and then, though. But, just think about it. If you saw a floor scale, would you really have to ask if it can weigh people?? I think not.

Mark, Frankie rules! He's so cute!
Kye have em?

Spit

First that picture below looks like a Sinatra to me. Lot of class and no ordinary BOOF!

Spit, I bet you get all kinds, but as an animal lover, sometimes we have to ask the dumb questions, just not the obvious... It takes a special person like you to equally treat the quality of service for the pet while putting up with parents of our beloved pets...

Nice drool on the cookie counter, no?

Mark, I forgot his name! He is very cute, though.
Gotta love Golden Retreivers, too. So, I guess that was his snoring I heard and not Stonci's?

Not too tough to figure out the brains in this operation.

He's be the one currently snoring by my feet. Quite loudly.

Taps, please do let me know. Now I'm gonna be thinking about this!!
One more thought, I do think you already care about her. Otherwise, you wouldn't have bothered to ask me what to do. I know it sounds strange, but have a little "talk" with her and tell her how you feel. She needs to "feel" how you feel and understand and believe that she's loved even though her original mommy is no longer there. You may be surprised by the outcome and her future behavior. You may also later realize and discover a bond you never knew was possible.

Thank you, Spitfire, for being honest with me.   I want to do this for Patti but, I know that, in itself, is not enough for Pitiful.   I do love animals, I just have not really had much of a chance yet to strike up a special friendship with this one.  There has been so much going on.  Thanks so much for the tips.   I will let you know how it goes.

Taps, here's the deal about your kitty situation...
You can't fool a cat. Do you love her? If not, don't keep her. She'll know and your relationship will not be great. You'll just be caring for her as she hides from life. If you do love her (or want to love her) then just show her that affection. Make her understand that she is safe with you BEFORE you move if you can. Once you get into the apartment, put her in her litter box, then pick her up and carry her to her food bowl. Point both of these spots out for her so she knows they are hers. Then, if you will allow, pick her up again and put her in a cozy spot (maybe your bed?) that she can feel safe to sleep and lounge. Cats are VERY perceptive and she will pick up on thoughts and energy you send out.

Spitfire - Do you have any suggestions for cat care and moving.   This seems like a touchy situation to me because Pitiful was my daughter-in-law's cat and really misses her.   She has always been very jumpy around everyone else and disappeared when company arrived.   Mark has been caring for Pitiful since Patti died but it is more like duty for him.   This cat has had the run of a big two story house and now we are going to move her to an apartment.  Not only will the place be smaller, different for her, but she will have to get used to me because I know she is needing more love and personal care than Mark has been able to give her.   The worst part is that I will have to get used to her also as I have not had a pet for several years now and have enjoyed the freedom from having to love and care for one.

HolyG, that's how they are.
It sucks dealing with people like that.

Jems, you have a rare kitty, there!
I think some cats grow extra claws and teeth when they come in.

spitfire,

That would have been funny to see...lol.

I ask vets stupid questions too....mostly just trying to make conversation and don't know what to say.

Charlie is definitely smarter than me!  It drives me crazy to see people in the lobby at the vet clinic who refuse to put their cats in a carrier. I'd feel terrible if Montana killed one, but not for the owner.  If you're going to be that dumb even after being told....

rofl

Stupid people.

Of course, I take my kitties to a vet who treats only kitties.  Baby-Grrl REFUSES to go into a carrier.  And she's so mellow that she'll sleep in my lap or in my arms no matter where she is (except in elevators for some reason--she HATES elevators).

And whenever the vet checks her, she's totally mellow if I am in the room.  It's when I leave the room that her claws come out.  But I've always said Baby is a human with fur and fangs.

Darrke, I suppose. You'd understand if you saw some of the

families that come into my office!

Guess it depends on the pet and family in question, doesn't it?
