Oh yes, we should all be so brilliant as to copy a country where everybody is a bit too pretnetious for their own good. We shall all start wearing too many feathers on our heads, and look just as ridiculous as we celebrate a royal wedding of two known adulteres where not even their title keeps them from being considered trash. BTW the nasal twang is only in New England, come to Utah, or Texas or somewhere in the southwest if you want to see what real Americans are made of, the type that have the class to not insult other countries, especially on a web site where there are so many of them are from that country.

great post limey ... i enjoyed your sense of humour in this ! 

though, why did you repeat yourself on what not to do?  btw.. no one names thier kids, chelsea, dwight or marylou...  that was like back in the 80's or something.

and i'm all for getting rid of trucker hats and baggy trousers.... but then again... that's sooo a few years ago... yes....  alot of americans are really lazy in taking pride in their apperance... what a shame.

By the way

You say Americans are second class. That term is used in the sense of white trash. We have many Americans that have good morals. Being first class is not about what you can buy or what you already own. Its not about specific foods or cars. First class is having good morals, manners and not judging and looking down on others because they are different.

Well that just isn't very nice at all

Did it occur to you that most of our ancestors are from Europe? My family comes from England, Germany and Scotland. I was born here, but I have the European ancestry flowing through my veins. Geography has nothing to do with the way an individual behaves other then styles and language. Not all Americans wear baggy knickers and just because we don't refer to steps as apples and pears doesn't make us bad. You have a negative view on a whole society. You guys are much more racier then we are, and not all of America has a twang. That is a southern thing.

God knows I would not be caught dead in a baseball cap or baggy trousers. In fact I don’t think I even know anyone who would. Perhaps you have been watching too many music videos. Why, if you hate us?
