A unified source?
Have you ever read Conversations With God? The book suggests that we come from one unified source, a being we would know as God. it suggests that we each are a fragment of that; a different aspect of God. I like this idea, because it would help to enbrighten people by God and the idealism would no longer seem to be quite so much a cudgel.
