avant-garde -- well said
The individual in effect becomes guilty of projecting their own insecurities onto others. I have had many people try to justify their attempts to convert me by saying such things as "Jesus saved me from drug addiction or prostitution or whatever". While I say more power to them for overcoming their own inner demons and feel it really does not matter how they have accomplished it, what does this have to do with someone that has not succumbed to these human frailty pitfalls?

good points, gome
what i've noticed is that by fearing a god and feeling guilty for being a sinner, the need to project that 'wrongness' onto others is born. we must project guilt in order to feel innocent and less afraid. it is a self-serving tactic that appears beneficial but is wholly destructive.

You-look-fabulous -- agendized, edited and bastardized religion
Is what modern day worship has become, with the underlying message obscured beyond recognition.

This too should be checked in the behavior of many Fundamentalist Christians:  "For some there is no line. They are intent on helping you whether you need it or not and are willing to take this obtuse perspective to intolerable lengths."

I don't blame you, Gomedome.  A "very bastardized religion" is what I was given too.
