To this day I don't believe the media and I tell you the reason why. I ....
retired in 1993 after 23 years in the Army. Late in my career, one of my many tasks was to review all messages coming in on the wire. These were messages from all over the world talking about the daily events .(
I am not allowed to go into detail, due to a paper I signed many years ago) A day or two later the newspapers, radio, and television would broadcast reports leaving details out, put details in, or broadcast nothing on the incident. When I attended briefings, read sitreps, or listened to the brass, there was more truth in just one briefing, than the medias's week in unbiased depth reporting. My views could be biased though.

The extreme negative spin the media places
on everything is terribly misleading and unjustified. Great post. Even if a lot of this is subjective and interpretive, it still shows that there are good things happening in Iraq.
