Funny
that solution as proposed in the Bible is fine, but when you proposed it, it is "sick."    I guess the biblical perceptions of marriage (forsaking all others) don't apply in this case, either.  I'm glad I'm not responsible for judging who was right in this case or what happens to the remains.  God is in charge of the first, the second is unimportant.

Sick?
Not as sick as the media circus, the spiritual leaders and the strife between the families. My ide was mild compared to what transpired in reality.

Sawing Idea Sick!

What you said about sawing Terri's body in half is in poor taste.

Having said that, it makes sense to me to divide her ashes between the two families, but cremate her first rather than sawing her in half.

Frankly, though, I think her REAL family came up with a satisfying solution--which is to give Michael all of her cremains and to remember her by burying some of her favorite things in a casket.

Terri's soul has gone on, so what it boils down to is that Michael is getting some ashes that used to be her body, and her family is representing the person who lived inside of that body by celebrating her life.

Peace!
AJ

Cremation vs. Burial . . . .
Makes no difference tot he deceased; they are gone. It makes a lot of difference to the Earth, which is running out of land for such luxuries. I would be more in favor of burial if the bodies were placed in simple boxes that would quickly deteriorate along with the body.

I don't think anybody should be cremated unless they specifically request it in their legally drawn up Last Will and Testament.

Roofpig . . . .
Had not thought of that (which probably speaks well of me!), but your idea is interesting in that there are so many who are in similar situations who could all do some good toward world hunger.

I think they should have found some way to make soilent green out of her.  Don't you think she would have been happy knowing she became the solution to the world's food shortage?

archiew - Probably neither of them would cede the battle as did the poor woman in Solomon's day.
