Great opinion piece ...

I too saw the Vin Diesel poster at the movie theatre and could not believe my eyes. A freaking Disney movie for Triple X? Reminds me of the time Ah-nold played the man who got pregnant or that vapid Jingle All the Way Christmas movie.

He's good when he plays an anti-hero like Riddick, IMHO, but alas, he probably doesn't want to get typecast.

Whim - I don't think you were hard enough! The guy sucks as an actor

Loved him in his early stuff--(well, maybe loved his body!).  My husband new this and told me he saw him on Conan or Jay Leno show and said he was not one of the most intelligent guys around.  If anything he said if I had seen it I would like him anymore.  I watched the Pacifier and I almost died.  Too cheesy.  Go back to action movies.
