Welcome, amdg! The whole case against her was rife with conflicts of interest. See my new post for details.

the Elian case
It's an excellent question. I'd like to see a national poll on that.
Do you know if it's true that Judge Greer, like George Felos, is a member of the Hemlock Society?
Ol' Dr. Death is probably wondering why he's in jail.

painter, you painted yourself into a corner
I've read your stuff, and you're just as assured of the correctness of your thoughts as I am of mine. Applying your logic to that, you're therefore as wrong as you make me out to be.
But I still like you, and you're welcome to post here anytime.

Fair question, scoop
I would answer it by saying that, regardless of his political leanings, he did a terrible job on this case. From every indication, he flatly refused to allow any evidence that would contradict either his apparent prejudice or his earlier decisions. He went with what Michael Schiavo's attorney said and that was it, any subsequent contradictory evidence was rejected. Contrast that with the constant reopening of closed cases against death row inmates and the endless appeals they are granted.

you remember Paul's saying about those who appear as messengers of light?
"even Satan appears as an angel of light" -- of righteousness.
I wonder -- does this apply to you?
you want to appear as a messenger of light
most people who tout their own rightness are usually the most wrong.

But Judge George Greer is a conservative republican, why is he bad?
Judge Whitermore is also a republican is he bad also? Why are the republicans calling them liberals and corrupt, because they could not "buy" them?
