I don't understand the courts' absolute refusal to let her live.
Her brother said in a TV interview (with Bill O'Reilly) that the judge wouldn't even order a test to see whether or not Schiavo can swallow water.
If she could swallow, then she could be fed with liquid foods by mouth and that would render this whole dispute moot --
because it would not be permissible to deprive her food by mouth if she could receive it, according to her brother.
I'm afraid that if this were possible, it would have been done already -- they would have just given her the food in liquid form by mouth and showed the court that she didn't even need the feeding tube.
In any case, it's a very sad thing.
