Good post, avant
Why do some seek and others hang on to what holds them back? I don't know.

that's so true
we're completely out of control and powerless, but we believe the opposite. talk about denial!

Avant -
Ahh, Ego at play again. We think it's all about control and power but mostly it's about no control and no power.

avant-garde, so many profound statements in this post.   Each little statement should be a single post to give one time to ruminate upon it.

thanks for reiterating. we are not bad, nor have we ever been. we place that judgment upon ourselves.

I like your phrase:
"We have not forgotten who we are in vain." Ramesh Balsekar calls this "divine hypnosis." We hear so much about the ego being the bad guy. But viewed this way, identification with the ego is simply something that has to happen in order for the drama of life to unfold. In certain life streams this identification becomes suspect, and the seeking begins, which may or may not lead to "remembering who we are."
