Yep, and then
by the time he visits again, you'll wonder how you forgot the last visit and wonder why you let him back in the house.

Taps

Our three grandchildren are more intelligent than us. (this means, of course, that they are super geniuses).  Granny sitting is a brilliant idea.  I'll try that the next time his Mother is climbing the walls and needs a break.  Being a Scot, however, means I'll have to work out a very paltry hourly rate for him.

We are in complete accord with the 'send them back from whence they came'  point of view.

I've never heard of Aero's or Maltesers, John, but I do love grandsons who are smarter than me.    Would you believe that I have never "baby sat" my grandchildren?    I always have invited them over to "grandma sit" me and I pay them by the hour to do so, so they feel like they are working and have to do whatever makes me happy.   By the time they are old enough to not need babysitting anymore they love remembering that.

His eatintg habits sounds like a friend of mine.
He'll hoover his plate and then say that the food wasn't very appetising. The most wonderful thing about being a grandparent is being able to send kids back from whence they came.
