Beautiful poem. A re-working of the old lines makes this fresh and welcoming.

Cypress...
Roses are many colors,
so are carnations.
My percs make me higher
than most of the haitians.
This poem is awful,
the rhyming is funny,
At least I'm not trying
to be oh so punny!
