Every garden grows…

Good or bad…take your pick…and then tend your weeds…

Question the flowers…to find the fruit…

We reap the words held within our minds…

thanks for the comment. i believe that we can put aside our differences by thinking about what really matters in life.

Yes! All we can do is keep our conscience cleansed by not allowing unforgiveness to scar us. Great point.

I call it forgiveness.

When we let go of grievances, we are forgiving.  When we forgive, we unburden ourselves of hate, revenge, and the effort of keeping it all up.  We are tearing down the walls we have erected to keep us from any closeness to those with whom we had a grievance.  When we do that, we often find that we can love those very individuals and our life is happier and more peaceful because of it.

On the other hand, even though we may forgive some people, they refuse to return the forgiveness and, though it is sad, all we can do is let them go and pray for them.  We just have to put it in God's most capable hands.

some things we would rather not be aware of, but there they are!

it's good to hear from you. the things we are in the most denial about we are sure are someone else's problem, not ours. this is, perhaps, the biggest illusion we engage in.

Well done, avant
The people that aggravate me the most are the ones who exhibit the qualities that I dislike about myself.  It took me years to understand that simple observation.  The devil is your best friend, he shows you what needs to be worked on and their order of priority.  He's not a warden, he's your personal trainer.

A thought provoking piece
I will certainly take up your challenge and be concious of why I do certain things.  Wonderful piece of writing and wonderful outlook on life.  Thank you for sharing this with us.

Avant -

Great post! Awareness of everything, especially of the fact that we are responsible for everything, is the key to growth and acceptance and ultimately love.
