Offbeatpub,
I would like to leave you a quote from George Tenet dated Feb. 07, 2001: "Osama bin Laden and his global network of lieutenants and associates remain the most immediate and serious threat!" George Bush, Congress and Corporate media spent the rest of the summer consumed by what the Clintons took out of the White House! Remember?

Offbeatpub,
Thank you and the feeling is mutual! We respectfully disagree on the courage and forethought of George Bush! So let us both continue to seek a peaceful path to justice for all humankind!

On the day the tiwn towers fell, Al Queda was not defeated, rather the world became aware of their presence. As I recall on that day several thousand Americans were killed, not OBL. Having said that, his day will come..dead or alive. The president must protect America from all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Better to be in the offensive posture than defense. For the many who have died for our freedoms, I am most grateful , and to our flag, the words Don't Tread on Me means something to those who have fought so hard for the stars and strips and all they represent. I make no assumptions about you, I wish you peace.

Offbeatpub,
It is hard to respond to someone who has so many inaccuracies in their assumptions! I am not opposed to war is the first I would like to dispel! But some of us have witness the horrors that "armed" confrontations brings to humanity and would avoid war at "all" cost! September 11, 2001 is a fading memory for those of us that want to move beyond that failure of George Bush to have a minimum attention to "his" job as President. Al Qaeda was defeated the day the Twin Towers fell! But the "brave and courageous" George Bush gave them a victory by attacking all Arabs! You suggest that is no big deal but do not be so sure!

What you say about doing the right thing keeps church and state apart is true. I can also see your point in your blog, but if I may disagree with you about America and our President. As a generation of Americans have never witnessed such global changes in their history, nor in mine, I believe we are not limp by any means. I am thankful we have a strong President. While I do not believe in war, I would be outraged if we stood by and watched the events (9/11) and did nothing. It takes a leader to react to such events and Bush has demonstrated his ability to make tough decisions. He is not God, he is a man who happens to be President I sleep better knowing he is at his post. We have never destroyed a country that we did not rebuild.(Japan,Germany). Quite frankly I am glad we are not on our knees begging the French or anyone else to fight our battles, even though we sure have fought their's in the past. This is a chance for them to step up to the plate and form a dialogue with the Iranians.  I wish you the best. Peace...

Empty handed painter,
Yes you did! And the answer is still yes I am! The seperation of Church and State is the most basic ingredient in the Constitution! If you follow the rule of law chances are much greater you will not violate God's Word!
