Cassava cakes
are popular snacks for students because they are economical. In fact, cassava cakes continued to be sold in Manila inspite of what happened in Bohol. What makes me wonder is why that particular vendor used bitter cassava and not the sweet cassava. One can make bitter cassava edible by cooking it well, but it won't taste the same as sweet cassava.

It is really sad specially now that there are about 100 students who were infected, not only the 30 or so reported. More here.

I can't believe they allow this stuff to be sold in light of its

devastating possibilities...So sad...
