You've highlighted an essential point ddb and I only hinted at: monotheism, according to Bertrand Russell, Sigmund, Freud, Gore Vidal, and Ibn Warraq, does not necessarily represent an advance over polytheism. Monotheism has written more history in blood than all other beliefs combined. In fact, monotheism requires violence.

attax, it's all a deliciously horrible mess, no? so much to criticize, so
little to uphold. The Buddhists will probably take over, after we others all kill each other off. Or the animists left behind will begin to build crazy civilization all over again.
