Glenn you're right about Bush... but we all know the reason behind his sudden interest in iraq...oil... Lebanon has no precious natural resources to benifit the U.S in any way.... my theory is that by forcing Syria out of Lebanon it accomplished what it wanted when Russia offered Syria missiles and Iran said it had nuclear weapons and will stand by Syria... so with the U.S threatening to attack Syria, it weill go after Iran first to take away the nuclear weapons then maybe Russia because they have these new missiles that are a DISASTER if they fall in the hands of terrorist groups..

Tanoolicious,
Thank you for your response! Yes, Syria was encouraged to go into Lebanon to provide stability by the Reagan administration after the failed attempt by his administration to inject American force into the equation. This President's (BUSH) first instinct is to destroy everything and criminalize the people already in power first, then talk about rebuilding! I hope the Lebanese people do not succumb to his logic. Look at Iraq! God Speed!

Glenn I guess I came on rather harsh, but its difficult to live on a side of the world where you see the truth and then realise that the rest of the world os being fed some form of untruthful reports... its not your fault... its what governments filter out...

The U.S im grateful to because they want to kick syria out of lebanon, but ofcourse theres a hidden motive behind it... no nation has ever done anything wholly out of the goodness of their heart without some motive backing it up... you do remember that the U.S placed Syria there all those years ago...

I dont care who comes into or leaves Lebanon as long as they dont destroy what the country has accomplished since the war.... I swear if you see the change Ive seen, it would really break your heart to see the one man who  changed the country die...

Indeed he is not the first casualty... his friend MP Walid Jumblat who is also part of the government and the group that included Harriri that were against President Emile Lahoud who is Pro Syria went on Tv today and spoke every thought and truth that happened... I fear hes going to be killed next...

No need to apologize

Tanoolicious,

I did not intend to offend or insult the respect that Lebanese Peoples have for the accomplishments of Mr. Hariri. I do apologize if I failed in that regard. It is this sudden "Bush" finger pointing that disturbs me. I hope that some form of moderation is embraced first. Lebanon has come a long way back from it's destruction. I hope the foundation that Mr. Hariri built is not the first casualty.

He put Lebanon in debt?  hahah this is ridiculous... You are talking to a Lebanese here and he did NOT put Lebanon in debt.... everything he did was financed out of his own pocket...  Year after year he rebuilt different parts of Lebanon... he funded schools for 33,000 students... when the olive oil produce of a part of Lebanon wasnt bought by anyone hw bought the entire lot and dristibuted it into the monthly food package he sends poor people every month....

Youre right he isnt champion of the poor... maybe thats why over a million showed up to his funeral yesterday and maybe thats why right now to my left the telivision has abeen broadcasting millions of people visiting his grave and crying, praying and laying down flowers...

Interesting,
And there is much territory to cover! But believe me I can fill in the holes! Thank you for the obvious!

Your lead is a flawed. Tries to cover too much territory.
