When I was younger, I rarely saw my parents due to their active and hectic work schedule. I lived with my grandparents up until I was 10-years-old. I remember when I was about five, I started calling my grandparents "Mommy and Daddy" even though I knew that they weren't. Whenever my actual parents came over to visit, I would simply call them by their first names. It must have been heartbreaking to them. It's strange how a child's mind works...I think it may have been a coping mechanism of some sort.

She might just be slowing making an adjustment...

I guess it's a lot less painful if you lose one and still have another.

So loving..

...it's amazing how their little minds work. When my sister died a few years ago..she was 46..her little grandson was three. He used to look up and see her in the stars. Shortly after he started to refer to her as 'Grandma Star'. They break your heart with their purity. I think we wish we could take it in with such innocence.
